Privacy & Cookies

Your privacy matters from the first conversation. This notice explains how CyberSure uses personal information when you visit our website or contact us about our services.

Who is responsible for your information?

CyberSure Limited is the Data Controller for this website and our business enquiries. We are registered in Ireland, company number 805350, with our registered office at Killinarden Enterprise Park, Whitestown Way, Dublin 24.

For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, email info@cybersure.ie, marking your message “Privacy enquiry”, or write to our registered office.

For our clients: where we process personal data on your behalf as part of managed IT, voice or cloud services, our role and instructions are addressed in the relevant service and data-processing arrangements. This website notice does not replace those arrangements or your organisation’s responsibilities as a Data Controller.

What we collect and why

  • Enquiries and conversations. You may give us your name, business contact details, organisation, role and information about your technology needs. We use these to reply, discuss suitable services and manage the relationship. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries; where you personally request steps towards a contract, or are a party to one, we also rely on the steps needed to enter into or perform that contract.
  • Website delivery and security. Hosting and security systems process technical information such as IP addresses, browser details, requested pages, times and security events. Our legitimate interests are operating a reliable website, preventing misuse and investigating faults or attacks.
  • Cookie preferences. We use CookieYes to present and remember your choices. Optional cookies require your consent. Essential storage supports functions such as remembering those choices.
  • Legal requests. We use information where necessary to meet applicable legal obligations, including responding to data-protection requests.

You can browse without making an enquiry. Providing contact information is voluntary, but without a way to contact you we cannot reply. Please keep an initial enquiry general: do not send passwords, client files, children’s records, health information or other sensitive material. We can agree an appropriate secure channel if it is needed.

Cookies and your choices

Use the Consent Preferences button at the bottom of the page to inspect the cookie categories and change your choices. You can reject optional cookies, and withdraw consent as easily as you give it. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before you withdrew.

These are the items currently listed in our consent manager. Administrative sign-in uses additional WordPress authentication storage; visitors do not need an account to read this website. Our current homepage does not use Google Analytics or advertising pixels. We will update this notice and the consent information if that changes.

Service providers and sharing

Our website is hosted through Irish Domains. We also use Wordfence for website security and CookieYes for consent management. Providers of hosting, email, technical support and backup services may process information needed to deliver those services. We may also disclose information to professional advisers or public authorities when necessary for a legal obligation or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

CookieYes resources are loaded from its content-delivery service when the site opens. This involves a connection from your browser to that provider. Security-related technical information may be processed by Wordfence. Their notices explain their own processing: CookieYes privacy notice and Wordfence privacy notice.

International processing

Some technology providers operate internationally, so processing may take place outside the European Economic Area. Wordfence describes use of European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses; CookieYes describes adequacy decisions and contractual safeguards among its transfer mechanisms. Their linked notices provide more detail. Contact us for information about the arrangements relevant to your information and how to obtain copies of applicable safeguards.

How long information is kept

Enquiry and business correspondence is retained according to the purpose of the conversation, whether it leads to an ongoing relationship, and any applicable accounting, legal or dispute-related requirements. Information needed for an active matter may be kept until that matter is resolved. Contact us if you would like details about a particular record or wish to request deletion.

Wordfence’s local Live Traffic security log is configured for a maximum of 30 days and 2,000 entries. Other hosting, security and backup records may have different retention periods according to their purpose and the relevant provider’s arrangements. Cookie durations are shown above and in Consent Preferences.

Your data-protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access to your personal data, correction, erasure, restriction of processing or data portability. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis. These rights are subject to the conditions and exceptions in data-protection law.

Email info@cybersure.ie to make a request. We may need proportionate information to confirm your identity. We normally respond within one month; if an extension is permitted and needed, we will explain why.

You also have the right to complain to Ireland’s Data Protection Commission. You do not have to contact us first, although we welcome the opportunity to address your concern.

Keeping this notice up to date

We will update this page when our website or relevant processing changes. The date above identifies the current version. Links to other websites take you to services with their own privacy notices.
